BACKGROUND
Section 645(1) of the Local Government Act provides that, “At 10 a.m. on the last Monday in September, at the council chambers, the collector must conduct the annual tax sale by offering for sale by public auction each parcel of real property on which taxes are delinquent.” The City of Langford’s tax sale was held on September 26, 2022. The following properties were advertised in the Goldstream Gazette and sold at the tax sale:

Following the tax sale, the current registered owner still has right of possession during the one-year redemption period that follows. If the property is not redeemed by the end of the one-year period, the Registrar of Titles will be requested to register the property in the name of the tax sale purchaser.
